Our Signature Dish

The crispy classic from the Kugel-Küche

Hearty golden-yellow, juicy, unmistakably delicious: A good schnitzel simply has to taste good. Our schnitzel creations at 3 Goldene Kugeln are generous, of regional quality, and always worth their price. And that’s been the case since 1996.

Schnitzel History

When the schnitzel first appeared on the plate...

Schnitzel is still one of the most popular dishes in Austrian cuisine. Whether made from pork or chicken. Here, the golden-yellow, breaded original comes to your plate in many variations. Its origins, by the way, lie in the classic veal schnitzel, which is still famous today as Wiener Schnitzel.

Wiener Schnitzel with Pea Rice

Our Secret

What makes our Kugel-Schnitzel so wonderfully crispy?

Good, thinly pounded meat, a special breading, and a splash of fresh mountain-farmer milk in the egg. The full recipe? Well, that remains our little Kugel secret.

A Matter of Taste

A good schnitzel doesn’t need a long story—just the right sides. Classically served with potato salad or parsley potatoes, and today just as often with fries or rice. The lemon wedge is a must.

And while people in Vienna are happy to go without it, here in Styria it’s clear: without lingonberries, nothing works!
