Family-run business with a handshake mentality
We, the Stangl family, have been running 3 Goldene Kugeln as a family business since 1996. What defines us is honest inn cooking, a well-rehearsed team and the commitment to delivering reliably good quality every day.
At our place, hearty Austrian tavern food is served – traditionally Styrian, freshly prepared and served with a smile. Quality, freshness and a warm, cosy atmosphere where our guests feel at home are what make our taverns special.
How it all began
Our story began on Heinrichstraße in Graz. We came as guests, had no experience whatsoever in the hospitality industry – but we liked the food so much that we got talking to the owner at the time. And so it happened that the business was transferred to us by way of a life annuity.
In this first tavern, we learned everything from the ground up. This is where our culinary adventure began – and today we look back with pride on 11 taverns across Austria.
Quality that lasts
We serve what we love to eat ourselves. We cook with ingredients from Austria and the local region, relying on long-standing partnerships with producers and suppliers we trust. Short supply chains and high-quality processing are a matter of course for us.

Behind every plate is a team that sticks together. Whether in the kitchen or in service, we work as one, lend a hand, and treat each other with respect.
Even though everyone has their own area of responsibility, we tackle challenges as a family – and implement new ideas together. For us, hospitality isn’t just a buzzword; it’s part of our daily life.
Our vision
